“Just wanted to share my story with you….
I had Strep B detected before I was pregnant. When I got pregnant my midwife wouldn’t re-swab but noted the previous detection in my notes. When I went into labour the doctor on duty saw the previous detection and decided for the best that he would give me antibiotics during labour.
My son was born on 30th March 2020 and has been absolutely fine. I’m so grateful to that doctor as I was absolutely petrified all the way through pregnancy that it would have gone undetected and my baby would be poorly!!
