Finn

Finn’s mum writes, “I just wanted to share this picture of my son Finn.

We are so very lucky we celebrated his 4th birthday on the 7th July 2020. When Finn was three weeks old he developed late-onset group B Strep meningitis. And was very poorly in intensive care. I also tested positive for Strep B when I was in labour, but only found this out when Finn was 10 days old.

Luckily, I took him to A&E because I knew something wasn’t right. He had a high-pitched cry, pale blotchy skin, bluish lips and was grunting. We are so lucky – after continual monitoring he has since been discharged from his consultant and he appears to have no after-effects. Finn starts school in September. Thank you for your support in the early days.”
