FAQs
A week before the conference, you will receive an email (to the delegate email you registered for the conference) containing all the instructions on how to access the virtual conference.
Yes – for three months after the conference, you will have access to all of the sessions on-demand online. So don’t worry if you can’t make it to everything live.
Most up to date computers and mobile devices such as laptops, desktops, and tablets are capable of running the virtual event for you. You will need a device that is connected to the Internet. We would recommend using a laptop or desktop if possible, as otherwise some presentations may appear small on your screen.
Yes. Although the live event has passed, recordings will be available for 3 months after the conference and you can buy a ticket from our website: https://gbss.org.uk/professional-resources/gbssconference2022/
We recognise that it’s a tough time for many charities, so please select the lowest priced option (Student Midwives/Families).
If you no longer wish to attend the conference, please email admin@gbss.org.uk from the email address you used to book the tickets and ask for your tickets to be cancelled.
Please note that all delegates will receive a link to recordings of the conference sessions so even if you are not able to attend on the day, you can access the content if you have purchased a ticket.
On both days of the conference, there will be a chat box you can submit questions to. If you would like to submit questions for the Q&A sessions ahead of time, please email them to admin@gbss.org.uk, clearly noting at which session you would like it asked.
We are planning to hold a conference next year, and make this an annual event. Sign up to our newsletter to be notified of any updates and announcements here – https://gbss.org.uk/email-newsletter/
CPD certificates will be sent to delegates who have completed their conference evaluation form, which will be made available on the days of the conference.
Please select “Pay by bank transfer” option when buying your ticket. You will receive an email with a unique Order ID. Please make payment within 7 days (or ask your accounts department) to the bank details listed in the email, using your Order ID as payment reference. If you require a purchase order number or VAT details included on your invoice, please contact finance@gbss.org.uk for more information.
If you have already purchased your tickets but require VAT receipt, please contact finance@gbss.org.uk letting them know. Please include your order details, ID, name and full address and emailed order confirmation.
You can access our conference from overseas, but do remember to allow for any time difference. The time zone for the conference will be British Summer Time (UTC +1). All delegates will receive a link to recordings of the conference sessions after the event. This will give you access to all sessions for 3 months after the conference.
We recommend you submit abstracts well ahead of the submission deadline by midnight Sunday 10 April 2022. Once reviewed by the Scientific Committee, feedback will be given on the acceptance of abstracts by Tuesday 27 April 2022.
Please see our page for instructions on how to submit your abstract and FAQs: https://gbss.org.uk/professional-resources/gbssconference2022/2022-abstract-submission/
