The Conference Scientific Committee invites delegates to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation at our 2023 Virtual Conference Group B Strep in Pregnancy & Babies
Group B Strep is the leading cause of severe infection in newborn babies in the UK. Our virtual conference on 17 May 2023 will bring together leading experts to talk about group B Strep, prevention policies, testing options, antibiotic usage, and the progress towards a GBS vaccine.
We are excited to announce that this year, all accepted abstracts will have the opportunity to be published without charge (usual APC $1,700) in Therapeutic Advances in Infectious Disease, the SAGE peer-reviewed gold open access journal. Our 2022 Conference abstracts are available here.
We recommend you submit abstracts well ahead of the submission deadline (midnight (23:59 GMT) on Sunday 19 March 2023)
Presentations of original data not yet published or presented elsewhere prior to the conference are highly recommended. We will consider abstracts related to 2022 and 2023 publications, contingent on compliance with applicable copyright laws with publishing journals. Authors are responsible for ensuring that there is no infringement of copyright.
Submission deadline: All abstracts to be submitted by midnight Friday 10 March 2023
First Stage: Abstract Notification of Acceptance or Rejection will be by 5pm Monday 3 April 2023
Second Stage: Registration deadline for abstract authors is 5pm Wednesday 19 April 2023. Final Paper/Poster Submission Deadline is 5pm Monday 24 April 2023.
On or before Monday 1 May 2023, the author(s of up to four abstracts selected will be asked to make a video recording with the GBSS team for presentation at the conference. If your abstract is selected, we will be in touch before the conference with further details and to arrange a time to record your presentation with us.
