The Conference Scientific Committee invites abstracts for oral or poster presentation at our 2026 Virtual Conference Group B Strep in Pregnancy & Babies, which is taking place on Wednesday 20 May 2026.
We are excited to announce that this year, all accepted abstracts will have the opportunity to be published without charge (usual APC $3,000) in Therapeutic Advances in Infectious Disease, the SAGE peer-reviewed gold open access journal. Our Conference abstracts are available online for 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
We recommend that you submit abstracts well before the submission deadline (midnight (23:59 GMT) Sunday 15 March 2026).
Presentations of original data not yet published or presented elsewhere before the conference are highly recommended. We will consider abstracts related to 2024 and 2025 publications, contingent on compliance with applicable copyright laws with publishing journals. Authors are responsible for ensuring that there is no copyright infringement. All those who submit abstracts will be sent a 20% discount code for themselves and coauthors to attend the conference.

Abstracts which have been previously published cannot be submitted, unless there are new methods, findings, updated data or other acceptable reasons for submitting.
The allocation of oral presentations will be decided by the Scientific Committee and based on abstract scores. If you tick the box and opt for an oral presentation, you will be considered but may be offered a poster presentation instead. Should the first author be unable to present their poster, one of the co-authors should take over their responsibility.
No. Judging and allocation of the abstracts takes place through our online form, so only abstracts submitted online will be considered. If you are having any technical difficulties with the online form, please contact the conference secretariat at admin@gbss.org.uk
No, there is no charge for submitting an abstract. However, the presenting author(s) of all abstracts selected for oral presentation will need to register to attend the conference in order to present.
