The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG) is undertaking an audit of current GBS practice in preventing early-onset neonatal group B streptococcal disease (EOGBS). It is a joint project by the RCOG and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), supported by the Royal College of Midwives and funded by the UK National Screening Committee.
The RCOG had originally planned to publish the audit results in late 2014, though this has been pushed back to 2015. They will also provide tailored feedback to maternity units that participate in the audit.
