We were pleased to attend the Primary Care & Public Health Conference, meeting GPs, clinical commissioning groups, community nurses, midwives, AHPs (physiotherapists, podiatrists, speech & language therapists, dietitians) and health care managers working in primary care, community care and public health.
We spoke to and gave information materials to over 700 of the 6,000+ delegates during the two day-conference.
Most of those visiting our stand were Midwives, and there were also GPs, Health Visitors and even a handful of Microbiologists. We met up with old friends – both health professionals and other exhibitors – and made some new ones. This is such an important route to providing engaged health professionals with the latest information on group B Strep both for their use, and to pass on to colleagues when they get back to their NHS trusts.

The Primary Care conference is always very busy – Oliver and I were both on the GBSS stand, but there were times when people were queuing for information materials or to ask questions.
There is a real hunger for information about group B Strep – we were delighted to put some misconceptions to bed, and share the huge improvements in the draft guidelines on GBS due to be published by the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists later this year.
