Group B Strep Support is the only UK charity dedicated to eradicating group B Strep (GBS) infections, including meningitis, in babies. We provide up-to-date, evidence-based information on GBS to families and health professionals, and support affected families.
We are seeking better to understand the long-term consequences of late-onset group B Strep infection (occurring at age 7+ days), both for the infected baby and the family, and are inviting parents of babies who developed late-onset GBS infection to take part in a survey. We will use the findings to inform our work to influence UK policy and practice, to prevent early-onset GBS infection.
If you have had a baby who developed late-onset group B Strep infection, we invite you to take part in the survey. Your responses are voluntary and will be confidential. As with any online-related activity, the risk of a breach is always possible. All data collected will be stored in a password-protected electronic format. Data will not be shared with any third-parties. The information provided in the survey will not be used in a manner which would allow identification of individual responses. Participants will be offered the opportunity to be sent a copy of the summary report.
The closing date for taking part in the survey is 20 September 2018.
