We’re pleased to share that our Chief Executive, Jane Plumb, has been appointed to the UK Government’s National Maternity & Neonatal Taskforce Charity & Third Sector Expert Reference Group, through her role as Chair of the Pregnancy & Baby Charities Network.
The Taskforce is working to shape what happens next for maternity and neonatal care in England. It brings together health professionals, charities, academics and people with lived experience, with a key focus on ensuring that future plans are informed by both evidence and real experiences.
Through her role, Jane will gather insight and perspectives from charities across the Pregnancy & Baby Charities Network, alongside what is seen and heard through GBSS, and feed these directly into the Taskforce’s discussions. Just as importantly, she will share updates back through the network, supporting a two-way exchange rather than a one-way process.
This helps ensure that the voices of charities are heard and, importantly, that the experiences of families during pregnancy, maternity and neonatal care help shape future plans.
