We at Group B Strep Support are delighted to announce our partnership with The Global Sepsis Alliance, and we will work together to reduce sepsis worldwide.
The Global Sepsis Alliance aims to raise awareness of sepsis worldwide and reduce sepsis deaths by 20% by 2020.
Excitingly, the Global Sepsis Alliance and the World Health Organization have joined forces to bring you the free online congress ‘WSC Spotlight: Maternal and Neonatal Sepsis’ on September 12th, 2017. To find out more and to register for free, please visit www.wscspotlight.org.

“The Global Sepsis Alliance is pleased to partner with Group B Strep Support, which is the world’s leading group B Strep charity, supported by a highly respected medical advisory panel. Group B Strep is the primary cause of severe infection in newborn babies in the west, and these infections often lead to sepsis. We will work together to prevent and treat these infections in the years to come.”
Most recently, The Global Sepsis Alliance has worked with the World Health Assembly to make sepsis a global health priority by adopting a resolution to improve, prevent, diagnose, and manage sepsis. This marks a huge step forward in the global fight against sepsis.
“I’m delighted that GBSS is partnering with the GSA – group B Strep is the most common cause of severe infection in newborn babies in the UK, including sepsis, and raising awareness of sepsis, how to prevent it and how to treat it will save lives.“
