This year, we are asking you to hold your GBSS Bake Sale during Group B Strep Awareness Week (8-14 July). There are lots of ways you can create a tasty treat, share it with your community and raise much needed funds for GBSS at the same time.

How your fundraising helps
By fundraising for GBSS you are helping us continue to support families who have been affected by group B Strep and campaign for better prevention to help save babies’ lives.
I held a bake sale at my place of work and raised £122.06. I had lots of people ask me about what happened to my son as none of them knew he had a group B Strep infection at birth. Some of my colleagues took leaflets away with them which was great.
I’d give everything I had up to help find a way to prevent this infection and people going through what I did.

Decide on reasonable prices and encourage larger donations by offering the option to contribute without purchasing.
Be ready to discuss your cause. Inform your guests about group B Strep and the impact of their contributions.
Take cash donations and pay them in yourself via our website or consider setting up a JustGiving page for your bake sale for people to easily donate straight to us. You can set up your JustGiving page here.
Send thank-you notes or messages to all who participated and made a difference.
Frequently asked questions
When will I get my pack?
Upon confirmation of a date for your bake sale, packs will be sent out second class post so please allow time for them to arrive.

I need more materials! How can I get these?
If you’ve already signed up and would like more of any of the materials in your event pack, such as posters, you can download them on this page and print as many as you need.
How do I create a JustGiving page to collect online donations?
Head over to our Bake Sale campaign on JustGiving here and click the orange start fundraising button.
I can’t hold my event in during Group B Strep Awareness week, can I still take part?
Don’t worry, you can hold your event on any day that suits. We will be keeping sign-ups open all year round.
How do I pay in my donations?
There are a few different ways you can pay in your donations:
Pay in the donations from your collection box online here and be sure to mention your bake sale in the comments section on the form.
Send us a cheque payable to Group B Strep Support with your name, address, contact number and email along with GBSS Bake Sale as a reference, and send to: Group B Strep Support, PO Box 203, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 1UA
If you have set up a JustGiving page to collect your donations, you don’t need to do anything else as the money raised will come direct to us.
