Leaflet: Group B Streptococcus in Pregnancy & Newborn Babies (2017/12) –

This leaflet (12 sides of A5) about group B Strep is aimed at particularly at pregnant women and has been jointly written by experts at The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG) and Group B Strep Support, and is based on the RCOG’s Green-top Guideline, Group B Streptococcal Disease, Early-onset.

The joint leaflet is available now online from the RCOG and from GBSS, and as a hard copy in 2018 from Group B Strep Support.

Having a baby who develops group B Strep infection is unexpected and traumatic. Most babies make a full recovery, but sadly some will suffer with a long-term disability or die because of their group B Strep infection.
