Our fundraising volunteer groups
Would you like to volunteer locally in a way that suits you?
If the thought of fundraising on your own is a little daunting why not join forces with other GBSS supporters in your area and work together to create local fundraising opportunities?
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to work with others to help create fantastic events or other fundraising activities in their own communities. The supporters you will be put in touch with feel just as passionately as you do about Group B Strep Support and most have personal experience of group B Strep infection.
Our fundraising volunteers are the face of the GBSS in their local communities. Most importantly they raise awareness, and more awareness still through their fundraising. Plus, with the money they raise it will make sure we reach more families.
Why volunteer?
- Meet new people, make new friends and have fun
- Use your time and skills to help raise money
- Take on an active role in your local area in a way that best suits you.
Our fundraising groups receive support and resources from the fundraising team and can choose how often to meet up and organise a range of events; from cash collections and pub quizzes to bake sales and bike rides. They also can introduce Group B Strep Support to schools, community groups and businesses in their local area.
By joining a local fundraising group you can share the workload, have some fun and make the event a great success together. And you will be working with people in your area who have a shared experience of group B Strep.
