Knowing about group B Strep when you’re pregnant or in the early weeks after birth can make a massive difference – most group B Strep infections in newborn babies can be prevented, and early treatment can and does save lives. So often, many families only hear about group B Strep after their baby is seriously ill. This simply cannot keep happening.
On Wednesday 12 July 2023, we are holding a drop-in session in Parliament for MPs and Lords to mark July’s Group B Strep Awareness Month. We want as many MPs as possible to attend and learn more about group B Strep and how they can help raise awareness and improve prevention.
