To keep group B Strep high on the agenda and a priority for Governments across the UK, we work with with elected representatives across the UK parliaments and devolved assemblies, and can connect representatives to local constituents affected by group B Strep
We make sure that our political representatives understand the need for improvements in group B Strep prevention, and support us to raise issues with key decision-makers in Government, the civil service and the NHS.
“Every baby deserves the best start in life, so I’m thrilled this hugely important trial [the GBS3 trial of screening in pregnancy] has been given the green light.
This is an issue I’ve been closely involved with for some time and I’m determined to do everything I can to raise awareness and help protect mothers and their new-borns from the devastating impact this infection can have.
We want the NHS to be the safest place in the world to give birth and this trial will be an important step in understanding if universal screening of Group B Strep can save the lives of more babies.”
— Former Health Minister Nadine Dorries

UK National Parliaments
We campaign with parliamentarians and assembly members across the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to ensure that babies across the UK have access to the best standards of care and treatment.
