We held a charity ball at the beautiful Centurion Golf Club in St Albans. An opportunity for our friends and family to get dressed up in their finery, with dinner and drinks followed by lots of dancing! We also had an auction and a raffle, with local business and contacts donating some great prizes.
We have 85 guests joining us and the whole evening was fabulous! So much so that we have been asked to make it an annual affair! And i am so pleased to say we raised a huge £8867 for Group B Strep Support.
I think it is fair to say we celebrated Frankie’s birthday in style.”
Frankie died of a preventable GBS infection, 4 days after birth. He didn’t need to die, he shouldn’t have died. If I had been tested and given antibiotics in labour he would have survived! It is as simple as that… GBS infection in newborns is preventable!!!!
