Lovely to hear from Stephanie who took part in the Belfast City Marathon on 5 May 2024 and raised £370 in memory of Oliver.
Stephanie told us “I wanted to run my first marathon and I wanted to have a reason close to my heart to run it. I chose GBSS as my close friends lost their first little baby Oliver to group B Strep infection after a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Marathon day was tough but holding Oliver and his mum and dad in my thoughts, kept me focused and gave me a reason to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I managed to complete the Belfast city marathon in just under 5 hours and I was delighted!”
