It was our pleasure to attend such a fabulous awareness day last Friday organised by Joe at our local Lloyds bank.
Joe writes ” The 19th July saw Lloyds Banking Group in Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath take part in a ‘Group B Strep Support Day’ to highlight awareness of the condition.
Each team within the site decorated their area with the theme being yellow and blue or the bumble bee and lots of events took place throughout the day such as Bingo, Name the Teddy and Throwing Paper Bees into a Paper Hive.
Some great decoration ideas were created by everyone onsite with the Chief Executive Jane Plumb MBE having the task of judging the areas.
In addition to all the awareness raised inc. some expectant mums and grandparents who had never heard of GBS we also raised £275 and a fantastic time was had by everyone involved.”
