Lisa Eaton organised a 5k run/walk on 2 June 2019 in memory of her son Jack.
Lisa writes “I set up a fundraising and awareness event in memory of baby Jack Eaton and all other babies taken to soon. It was held on 2 June at Gedling Country Park in Nottingham. I set up my JustGiving page to raise funds for group B Strep Support and have also been on the TV and radio raising more much needed awareness of group B Strep. I have been very overwhelmed with the support I have had from my family, friends and people I don’t even know. I have had pregnant ladies get in touch thanking me as they have heard me on the radio or seen me on TV and have gone on to ask their midwives for the group B Strep test, and found out they have been positive, so more babies have now been saved which is great news. A big big thank you to all that have supported me in raising more awareness of group B Strep and funds for the charity. So far we have raised a total of £3,472. The event day went very well and everyone enjoyed themselves.”
