Mum Bethany writes, “After 20 minutes of Darcey being born, I noticed something wasn’t right. She was making grunting noises, had a very weak cry and had spit bubbles coming from her mouth. After a visit to the baby doctor, she was immediately put on oxygen and had wires over her chest in an incubator as well as a cannula in her tiny hand.
Darcey had group B Strep infection. I had never heard of this nor did I know how dangerous this infection could be. After 11 days in hospital her bloods were clear and we were finally able to take her home.”
Bethany held a Garden party along with a raffle during July and raised £260.
