Calling all Home Heroes
A nation-wide virtual challenge event taking place on 26 April 2020 – become a Home Hero for the day!
The 2.6 challenge is a nation-wide virtual challenge event taking place on 26 April 2020, the day originally scheduled for the London Marathon. Whatever your age or ability, you can take part. After all, we’re not looking for superheroes. We’re looking for Home Heroes.
Simply think of an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills and complete it on Sunday, 26 April – when the 40th London Marathon would have taken place. This could be something as simple as pledging to run or ride 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, holding the plank for 2.6 minutes, or gardening for 26 minutes, we want your help to save the UK’s charities and join Team GBSS.
It’s never been more important to come together and show how much we care.

How do I get involved?
No need to be a marathon runner to take part – this is a challenge for all ages and abilities. Just get thinking of an activity based around the numbers 26 or 2.6 and complete it on or from Sunday April 26.
Help us to inspire the nation by sharing pictures or videos of your challenge on social media using the official hashtag #TwoPointSixChallenge and be part of the campaign.
Once you’ve done yours, why not nominate someone else to take on The 2.6 Challenge?
And don’t worry if you’re not able to get out of your house or flat for now. We’re not looking for superheroes – we’re looking for Home Heroes.
Please follow the guidelines from the Government in practicing in social distancing on how to exercise safely during this time). Whatever you can do, you can be part of it – the main thing is getting active, having fun and donating whatever you can to help save the UK’s charities.
