Fundraising in memory of someone
Fundraising in memory is very special and we thank you for thinking of supporting Group B Strep Support in memory of your loved one. Raising funds now, or thinking about a gift in your will, ensures that the GBSS will be able to provide support for families, improve awareness of group B Strep and campaign for better prevention in the UK.
Sometimes being able to channel energy into helping others helps people to deal with a part of their grief. It can be comforting to know that the money raised in your loved one’s memory will help Group B Strep Support with our vital work to eradicate group B Strep infection in newborn babies, and to support those affected by group B Strep. Over time, you may want to find some special way of remembering your baby or a special loved one.

Set up a Tribute Fund
Set up an online personalised Tribute Fund for your loved one by sharing photos, videos, music and stories.

Organise an event in memory
Celebrate a loved one’s life with a virtual or physical event – we have plenty of ideas to inspire and will support you all the way with your fundraising.

Take on a challenge in memory
Run, cycle, or trek to honour your loved one. We have places in many popular events, or take on your own virtual challenge.
I believe in purpose and Markeshia’s short life has enabled me to educate others on this matter. I’m a teacher by trade so I recognise that knowledge is power. The money I raise will help save babies’ lives and support those families whose lives are touched by GBS.
