Josh writes “On Friday 5th August my team took part in an obstacle course over a swamp to raise money for this great charity. We wanted to get involved with this charity as one of my team members actually used the services and wanted to give something back.
This was a challenging (and messy!!) event which pushed us out of our comfort zone to not only raise money and awareness for the charity but also increase team building.
I love that Nationwide Building Society support such events by dedicating 14 paid hours a year to each employee to get involved in the local community either through fundraising or volunteering.
I loved taking part in the ‘swamp obstacle course’ because it challenged us all in different ways, we worked together as a team to cross many obstacles and motivated each other to not only have fun but get out of our comfort zone for such a great cause!”
A huge thank you to Josh and his team – together they have raised lots of awareness and funds for GBSS! With the money donated, we can raise more awareness and support families affected by group B Strep. Thank you!
