Group B Strep Awareness Month 1-31 July 2017
Group B Strep is the most common cause of life-threatening infection in newborn babies, causing meningitis, sepsis and pneumonia. Most of these infections could be prevented, but around half of pregnant women haven’t even heard of group B Strep – you can help change this!
Once again, this July, we will work hard to make more families and health professionals #GBSaware. This is a chance for us ALL to do our bit. It’s a great opportunity to raise vital awareness of group B Strep and continue the fight to stop group B Strep infection in babies.
We are grateful for the support we receive from all of our partners and supporters during July’s Group B Strep Awareness Month and there are lots of ways you can participate during the month.
We’ll be sharing our activities, so why not share yours? Take pictures and upload them to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, using the hashtags #GBSaware and#WhyGuess
